Organization Overview

NNICC is the first governmental certification center in Egypt. It is supervised by director of National Nutrition Institute (NNI). The National Nutrition Institute (NNI) is affiliated with the General Organization for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes established by Resolution No. 1002 for the year 1975. NNI was included in the organization by Resolution No. 652 for the year 1976 and it was authorized to analyze and examine food samples for the purpose of registration by Resolution No. 349 for the year 1976, and the name of the institute was changed to the National Nutrition Institute by Resolution No. 263 for the year 2001. The Institute is an independent body, and its management has the power and resources that enable it to perform its activities with high efficiency.

NNI works in many nutritional fields: nutritional clinic, nutritional researches, training and special food registration. NNI cooperates with various international bodies such as WHO, WFP, FAO, and UNICEF. NNI is certified by ISO 9001 since 2006 and ISO 17025 since 2019. NNICC was established according to the Resolution no 5/2022 dated on 27/07/2022. NNICC is an independent body; its top management has the capabilities and resources that enable it to perform its activities with high efficiency. NNICC has experience in working with governmental and private organizations because it is belonged to governmental sectors.
